The First Tee

Just as in golf, success in life depends on critical moments of impact. Offering a child the skills and confidence to introduce himself is a simple act with powerful results that can last a lifetime. This is where The First Tee starts...

The First Tee of New Zealand works to affect the lives of young people by providing educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values and promote healthy choices through the game of golf. The program's focus is to establish a lifelong interest in golf and promote personal character development. The curriculum teaches young golfers the Nine Core Values™ of The First Tee:

  • Honesty
  • Integrity
  • Sportsmanship
  • Respect
  • Courtesy
  • Responsibility
  • Perseverance
  • Courtesy
  • Judgment

With those values in mind, junior golfers advance through the program's certified levels and learn how the skills essential for golf can help them be successful in life.
In school and after school classes currently operate from facilities in Auckland, Queenstown, Whangarei and the Bay of Islands with new locations to be announced in 2013. For more information visit: www.thefirstteenz.org.
The First Tee of New Zealand is operated by the Kiwi Kids Lifeskills Trust, a registered charity CC32097.

CurekidsCure kids

At Cure Kids, our purpose is simple. Every single day, we're driven to find cures for the life-threatening illnesses that affect many of our children. How do we do it? We focus on raising funds so that vital medical research can continue till our researchers find the cures our kids need. Put simply: we fund the cures, they find the cures.
